P.S./I.S.192 is thrilled to kick off a new month filled with exciting learning experiences and activities. We hope you had a wonderful Spring Recess, enjoying quality time with loved ones and making cherished memories. As May is Mental Health Awareness Month, we encourage you to focus on your well-being. With just two months left in the school year, please ensure your child attends school daily and arrives on time. Mark your calendars for the final Parent-Teacher Virtual Conference on Thursday, May 7th, from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. This is a great chance to connect with your child’s teacher, learn about what they’ve been learning, and discuss what’s ahead for next year. Let’s also give a shout-out to our students in grades 3 through 8 as they navigate state testing season. It’s important for them to be well-rested and to remember their glasses if needed. For your convenience, we’ve included the assessment and exam calendar along with the monthly calendar. Please encourage your child to give their best effort—we believe in them! Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up from May 4th to 8th, and we want to show our gratitude to our incredible teachers and support staff for their dedication to our children’s education. We invite families to bring in a dessert on the morning of May 8th so our staff can enjoy some well-deserved treats. As we approach Mother’s Day, we want to extend a heartfelt message to all the amazing mothers in our community. Your nurturing role not only impacts your children but enriches the entire school. Let’s take the time to express our appreciation for the invaluable contributions of mothers, not just on May 11th, but every day.
