Republican presidential candidate made you feel proud · Asked in 10 waves, 1980–2016 · 25,635 responses · weighted estimates computed from individual responses
For 2016 the cumulative file collapsed answers to a 'how often' question into yes or no, with no 'have you ever' lead-in (codebook 2016 note); earlier years asked whether the person had ever made you feel this way. 2016's 'yes' shares are higher than 2012's for most emotions, positive ones included (proud of the president, 54% to 73%; of the Republican candidate, 28% to 44%), so the 2012-2016 change is partly the format. Kept and flagged: 8 (dk), 9 (other_missing). Codebook notes: GENERAL NOTE: See general question text and notes for traits preceding VCF0346. Different traits have been asked in indvidual studies since 1980.
