- Stratified systematic sample of housing units from the Census Bureau's Master Address File that have a linked email address or cell phone number; one adult per household responds online (Qualtrics) after email and text invitations. A new sample each period, except that Phase 1 (Weeks 1-12) kept sampled households for up to three weekly interviews. Response rates were low (see each period's Source and Accuracy Statement); weights adjust for nonresponse and are raked to population controls.

- PWEIGHT, the person-level weight Census uses for every published HPS person estimate (it sums to the household population 18+). HWEIGHT, the household weight, is not used; replicate weights are in the PUF zip but not loaded. Rescaled to mean 1.
